Step 1 - Decision & Vision
Congratulations on taking the first step in creating your own outdoor living space. It may feel overwhelming in the early stages to know every detail that you want, but the design team at V.I.P. Landscaping is here to make this process easier. Ask yourself these simple and easy questions to get your ideas flowing on what your desert oasis will look like:
1) What do I want to use my yard for? BBQs, relaxing, a place for the kids to play, a pleasant view when I look out my windows, lying in a hammock under the shade, hosting big parties, star gazing, pet areas: Your imagination is the limit!
2) What style or theme of landscape do I prefer? Tropical, Desert (lush vs sparse), English Garden, Xeriscape/Low Maintenance
3) What elements do I want to have? Fire pit, Outdoor Kitchen, Patio, Patio Cover, Waterfall, Lighting, Playground, Putting Green
4) What is my landscape budget? How much have I budgeted to spend? Would I like to finance any portion?
Step 2 - Estimate & Design
One of the goals at V.I.P. Landscaping is to create customer relationships and provide the highest quality of craftsmanship to ensure you have the yard you envisioned. Our qualified designer will first make contact over the phone to verify some information and discuss the project with you. Since we value your time, we will do our best to accommodate your schedule for a consultation window.
Once a consultation window is scheduled, one of our experienced landscape designers will arrive at the project site ready to hear your vision, answer questions, make suggestions, record measurements, take pictures, and discuss project pricing. A typical appointment ranges from 1 to 2 hours.
Project estimates are provided to you in a clear, itemized manner. We want to be transparent and want you to understand what we will accomplish. Estimates are provided anytime from the end of the appointment up to 5 business days later, depending on the scope of work.
Once you are satisfied with and have approved the landscape budget, your designer will create a custom landscape design that is crafted to meet your specific needs and desires.
What to expect from our designer during your consultation:
Punctual - Professional - Knowledgeable - Thorough
Step 3 - Installation
V.I.P. Landscaping strives for quality and timely installations. Upon finalization of the project design and a signed contract, you are scheduled immediately. Depending on the season, construction times will vary. Your landscape designer will inform you of projected start date of the installation.
Start of the Project: Since we want you to be involved in the project as well, we request you be there the morning your project is started to meet the crew and designer. The designer will introduce you to the crew supervisor, walk through the project with you and explain the different phases of the project. This is a great time to ask any specific questions to ensure you are comfortable with the work that will be taking place.
Throughout the Project: The designer will communicate with you during the course of the project, making sure you know the timeline, any issues that arise, and the progression of the project. Please remember this is a construction zone and can be unsafe for children and pets. We keep the project site as safe as possible, but please watch your step. You can expect there to be noise, dust, and debris throughout the course of the installation, however, we do our best to keep your property as clean as possible.
What to expect from the crew during project:
Professional - Courteous - Respectful - Helpful
Step 4 - Completion & Follow-Up
The hard work is done, and now it is time to enjoy your new outdoor retreat customized with your needs in mind. At V.I.P. Landscaping we don’t just complete the job, pack out, collect payment and leave without communicating. We want to ensure you are completely satisfied with your finished project.
Project Completion: Once the crew has completed the project, they will thoroughly clean and tidy up the project area. Our goal for you, while enjoying your new living space, is to never know we were there. All crews have a detailed final checklist that is completed before leaving the job site to ensure great care was given to your project.
Final Walk-through: Your designer will schedule a final walk-through with you, preferably within 48 hours of completion, to go over the whole project. We will make sure you are happy with the finished project, provide you with information on caring for your new area, and share any other pertinent information with you. Additionally, the designer will walk you through emergency shut-off for the irrigation system, clock programming, and general upkeep recommendations. Lastly, you will be given all warranty information and the opportunity to provide any feedback
